Weekly WIPS: April 24-30

We’re doing a little bit of catch-up from last week, but that’s okay!

I’m finishing up the Coffee Date Top, and the dress. At this point I just need to weave in the ends and make a tassel for the top, and thread elastic, hem, and add a skirt to my dress. Honestly I should be able to finish both of those by Tuesday at the latest (crossing my fingers!!).

I… didn’t get to the macrame projects at all. I got all of the materials out during a babysitting job, only to realize that I needed clips and a board to work on my macrame. So now I’m prepared and armed, and hoping for more success this week! I bought clips and a board, and if I can’t get the yoga strap put together, it’ll be because I’m prioritizing my belt. I’m a little nervous about it, but excited to try a new skill.

Next on my list is a dish drying mat! It’ll be my first time trying out Tunisian crochet and I am so so sooooo excited. I think this’ll be my at-work project for the week. I got this cotton yarn a year ago with intentions to make a washcloth, but changed my mind. Turns out I have just enough to make a dish drying mat, which is something I need anyway.

I’m packing on the sewing projects this week, and will be making some throw pillows and trying out tea dyeing! My husband and I are thinking of making a mud cloth sort of print, which is a topic for another post (which hopefully I’ll make this week).

Next up is blackout curtains for our studio! I’m looking forward to choosing a cute fabric and making that room slightly less HOT.

Between the catch up I’m working on and the new projects in the pipeline, I think this’ll be another fun week. I like having multiple projects going on at the same time because it’s just nice to have different choices for different moods and different days.
